Track and Field: Leleux Punches Ticket To Eugene After Fourth-Place Finish In Pole VaultPublished by
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns track and field standout Morgann Leleux punched her ticket to the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships after she earned a fourth-place finish in the women's pole vault on Friday at the NCAA Division I Preliminary at Hodges Stadium on the campus of the University of North Florida. Leleux, a five-time All-American in the pole vault at Georgia before transferring to Louisiana, was one of 10 individuals to clear the bar at 13-11 and qualify for the NCAA Championships, scheduled for June 8-11 in Eugene, Ore. Alena Hrusoci narrowly missed qualifying for the NCAA meet after finishing 16th overall in the women's 400-meter hurdles (58.06). In the men's 200-meter dash, Hanoj Carter finished 31st overall with a time of 21.08 while Bartul Basic finished 39th overall in the men's javelin (194-2).
