Victor recorded a throw of 68 feet, 8.50 inches to finish ninth overall after the first day of competition at the NCAA Track and Field Indoor National Championships on Friday at the Albuquerque Convention Center.

The DeRidder, La., native finished as one of the top eight American-born athletes in the event, making his best throw of the day on his second attempt. Victor, who had the 14th best throw in the nation this season entering the event, claimed sixth events during the season, including the Sun Belt Conference Indoor Championships when he threw a school- and SBC Championship-record throw of 69-0.75.
