SAN MARCOS, Texas The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns track and field team resumes action on Friday when it competes in the Bobcat Invitational on the campus of Texas State University.
 
The meet, which opened on Thursday with multi events, will conclude on Saturday. Live results are available on the track and field page at www.RaginCajuns.com.
 
Competing in its third meet of the outdoor season, the Ragin' Cajuns have posted impressive results in meets at South Alabama (March 7) and McNeese State (March 16).  
 
Four Cajuns - Albert Fournette, Devin Davis, Michael Vani and Tarvia Conway are ranked in the top-20 nationally in their respective events. Ten Cajuns, including Ta'Shania Bean who is ranked in two events, are listed in the top-50 in the national rankings.
 
Fournette enters the meet ranked No. 3 overall in the shot put after posting a mark of 62 feet, 1.75 inches at the USA Jaguar Opener. Davis is ranked No. 7 in the men's long jump after recording a mark of 24-8.25 at the McNeese State Cowboy Relays while Vani is 11th in the men's pole vault (16-8.75).
 
Conway, ranked No. 18 among individuals, is one of two Cajuns ranked in the top-50 nationally in the women's triple jump after she posted a mark of 40-4 at the McNeese State Cowboy Relays. Bean is ranked 31st in the triple jump (40-0.50) and is 50th in the long jump (18-11.25).
 
Morgan Cormier (400-meter hurdles) and Ricky Theyard (long jump) are ranked 35th nationally in their respective men's events with Tia Mitchell (long jump) and Lindsey Harmon (pole vault) ranked 22nd and 32nd, respectively, in women's events.
